Hardik Pandya has had a rough time for the last couple of years. The all-rounder suffered from a lower back problem which not only affected his bowling but his batting prowess too. After being left off from the Mumbai Indians franchise, the all-rounder was offered the captaincy by the Gujarat-based franchise and Pandya has surely not been disappointed with his captaincy. His own performance too has received praises from all corners of the cricketing community.

Harbhajan Singh has been mighty impressed with how Pandya has made a comeback to cricket.

“I believe that the responsibility of leading a team will only make Hardik a better player, a better captain, and a better person. Something similar happened with Rohit Sharma as well,” said Harbhajan on the Cricket Live show on Star Sports.

Critics who follow Indian cricket are of the opinion that someone of the likes of Rohit Sharma was always capable of performing better when given added responsibility. Rohit Sharma is now handling the Indian team in all three formats and his primary aim is to achieve an ICC title which India last won Champions Trophy in 2013.

Pandya is on his way to reviving his career for India’s national side

Pandya underwent surgeries for his lower back in recent years and there were always concerns about whether he would be able to bowl back with his previous pace which was in the range of 135 – 140 kmph. To the surprise of many, the all-rounder seems to have recovered well and is seen bowling at his usual speed.

Despite a new franchise, Gujarat Titans seem to have all their bases covered. They lost the first game of this year’s IPL against the Sunrisers Hyderabad but have performed well apart from that match Their next encounter will be against the Rajasthan Royals on 14th April who is leading the points table at the time of writing this post.
