In what could be termed as a blow to the Indian team, key players SuryaKumar Yadav and Deepak Chahar have been ruled out of the T20 series against Sri Lanka. Both the players look well settled with their roles and it is reported that Chahar suffered a hamstring injury whereas SKY is having a hairline fracture on his hand.

The Sri Lankan series is starting from Thursday and the team will play three T20s and two test matches. SuryaKumar played a mighty role when he scored 65 important runs in the final T20I against the West Indies recently.

Deepak sustained a right quadriceps injury during bowling while Suryakumar suffered a hairline fracture during a fielding attempt in the third and final T20I against the West Indies in Kolkata on Sunday,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in the statement.

Deepak Chahar had a decent bowling in the recent series and got two important wickets of openers in the 3rd T20I against West Indies. Both the players are expected to move into the rehab at the NCA academy in Bengaluru. The players are expected to be fit before the IPL. Chahar was brought back CSK for a whooping INR 14 crores whereas SuryaKumar Yadav was chosen as the third retention choice by the Mumbai Indians at a price of INR 8 crores.
