Virender Sehwag advise to Ravindra Jadeja on CSK’s worst start to IPL

There are times when nothing yield results despite doing everything. Cricket is usually a game of momentum and one win could change the trajectory of the team’s performance. But getting to that one victory can be a nightmare sometimes. The same can be said of the Chennai Super Kings, who have lost all of their four games till now. Jadeja, who has recently taken over the reigns of captaincy from Dhoni, has come under the fire for his captaincy. Now Sehwag has given a piece of advice for the all-rounder.

During a conversation with Cricbuzz, Sehwag said that Jadeja needs to put off his cell phone and not bother about the criticism. CSK lost their fourth game of this IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

My advice for Jadeja would be that these things will continue, don’t pay heed to them. If you think about that, you won’t be able to concentrate on the field because whenever you make a decision, you’ll continuously think, ‘What will they say? What will the fans think? What will the teammates think?’ You won’t be able to take the right decision through all that,” Sehwag said in conversation with Cricbuzz

In a country of 1.3 billion people where Cricket is considered religion, it is difficult to keep to handle the criticism especially, when there is so much expectations from your side. Sehwag told about the greats Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman and how they handle the tough phases of their career.

Sachin, Dravid and Laxman didn’t look at their phone or newspaper while going through it – Sehwag

I have seen it with Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, and Yuvraj Singh – whenever they go through a tough phase, they don’t look at their mobile phone, TV, or newspaper. I feel he should practice, play video games and have fun,” as said by Virender Sehwag

Each team will play 18 matches this year which allows every franchise to make a comeback. CSK may have lost the first four games, their worst record in IPL, however, they are a competitive side. Dhoni may have given up the leadership but there is no doubt that he is still in-charge of taking the crucial decisions during the match. CSK’s next encounter is with Royal Challengers Banglore on the 12th of April.
